Val Shadowhawk

Greetings and Oki` to everyone! My name is Val Shadowhawk, representing Cree, Blackfeet, Missouria, and Choctaw Nations of Indigenious Peoples. My current home is in The Central Valley Town of Salida with my beautiful Lady Companion Eileen. Some forty-eight Winters ago this being entered this world back in the Mid-West, Oui`chi ta, (Wichita)! California has been my home since 1985. My former Profession was in the Building Trades (Elevator Repair) in L.A.

Anyway, I work as an Independent Consultant with various Public and Private Schools throughout Northern California as a Presentor and Instructor highlighting a good way of life, Pow Wow, The Drum, and general Native History (esp. Plains). With assistance occasionally with Eileen, she is Pomo so that gives the students a well rounded and balanced presentation. The Stockton Area Native American Ed. Program also calls on us to workshop with local Native American youths and their families in an after school program. We are very honored to have an opportunity such as that! When not doing the above we make outfits and beadwork for youths and Adults whom express an interest in Dancing in the Sacred Circle. Another one of our favorite pastimes is our Dogs! Yup Dogs, two for now! I also love to learn new Pow-Wow songs, travel to other areas for Gatherings, Going to Big Times to watch Eileen Dance in the Round House.
